New operation on the horizon
Valve’s spokesperson Erik Johnson has admitted that Counter-Strike's next operation is in the works, though the release date and other details are yet to be revealed. As a reminder, the previous operation was introduced a year ago, in February 2016.
Let’s take a quick walk through the history of CS:GO operations. Operation Payback was the first one in a series; it was released on April 25 and lasted four months up until August 21, 2013. It was followed by Operation Bravo, which was added on September 19, 2013, and ended on February 5, 2014. Next up we saw Operation Phoenix, Breakout, Vanguard, Bloodhound and Operation Wildfire, the last one lasting from February 17 to July 16, 2016.

Starting from September 2016, there have been rumors all around the CS:GO community about the arrival of a new operation. Valve developers, however, have shared no details until recently, when Erik Johnson finally admitted its coming in his interview for gamerevolution.com.
