Details about the championship

The summer hit Europe with full force but the weather is not the only hot action HotS fans can catch up with these days. All the HotS teams in America have been playing at their absolute best in Open Tournaments to get one of the few spots to the Americas Championship. Eight teams will be lucky to get a spot in this championship and so far three teams have secured one: Tempo Storm, Cloud9 Maelstrom and COGnitive Gaming

New details about the Americas Championship have been published a few days ago. Together with the ESL and Twitch the Americas Championship will take place in fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, on September 19 and 20. Fans can watch all the action online or live at the Las Vegas convention center (Hall N1, 3150 Paradise Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89109 with doors open each day at 9 a.m. PDT). Admission will be free so one should hurry up and turn up early as seating could be filled up pretty fast. For everyone who can't or doesn't want to go to Las Vegas Twitch will be the platform for broadcasting. The link for the stream will be twitch.tv/blizzheroes.

As written before eight teams will get the chance to compete in the Americas Championship with five teams coming from North America, one from Latin America, one from Southeast Asia and one from Australia/New Zealand. Those teams will fight for their share of the $ 100 000 prize pool and a chance to compete in the World Championship later this year at BlizzCon.

The BlizzCon 2015 World Championship will feature teams from five different global regions: Europe, Taiwan, Korea, China and America. Only the best of the best can make it to Southern California as they will have to fight all the squads from their respective regions. How can teams make it to BlizzCon? Find out below:
