Dota 2 team in Kiev for Bootcamp
Our newly formed Dota 2 team will be having a bootcamp in Kiev in a few days. There is a lot of work to be done, but practising and trying to find their absolute best a-game will be the priorities for the bootcamp. Find out more in the news!
Just four days ago, Natus Vincere was happy to announce the new Dota 2 squad, as the two well known players Ivan "Artstyle" Antonov and Glebk "funn1k" Lipatnikov joined our ranks once again. The first official match with the new team was a pleasant surprise as the new players fit in well and the team displayed a lot of potential. As the team has not been playing together for a long time and some important tournaments and qualifier are ahead, the team will head over to Kiev to have bootcamp for eight days. From 14th till 22nd of April the Dota 2 players will practise a lot and work on their team synergy, their individual skills and much more!
With two new players and a new captain there are, once again, a lot of changes, but the squad will have to adjust and work as hard as possible to see results soon. The first two games went quite well, with unexpected drafts but promising results. The communication is very important, so the players will talk about their ideas and approach of the game to be on the same level and find the connection to each other. Meeting up and having a bootcamp is the best way to get as much done as possible in about one week of time.
While the Dota 2 squad will be having the bootcamp, they will compete in official games as well. On the 16th of April the CIS qualifiers for the Red Bull Battle Grounds will take place. As invitations went out to some of the best teams and organisations all over the world, Natus Vincere was also invited to take part in the CIS qualifiers. Na'Vi will have to compete alongside teams such as Asus.Polar, Team Empire and HellRaisers. It won't be easy but Daniil "Dendi" Ishutin and his team mates will do their absolute best to advance. Once the qualifiers are over and the qualified teams have been found, there will be an offline LAN event in May, where those teams will have a chance to secure themselves a spot in the grand finals. The offline LAN event will take place at the Warfield theatre in San Francisco, California (USA), on the 9th (qualification for the grand finals = playoffs) and 10th of May (grand finals). With $ 75 000 at stake, all the teams will do their best to qualify for this event - so will Na'Vi, so make sure to cheer for your favourite team, once the qualifiers take place!
Of course we didn't forget about you, the fans and community, who put life and energy into the organisation. Therefore the Na'Vi Dota 2 players will have a few interviews while they are having a bootcamp. Every single one of you can leave a question or multiple questions below this news. These questions will be written down and the players will be answering those questions for you. Do you want to know what Artstyle thinks about his "new old" team? Why did funn1k decide to come back? What does Dendi think about the return of the legendary captain Artstyle, who secured the title of the first ever "The International" tournament? What does SoNNeikO have to stay about being a full member of the Dota 2 Squad now?
If you ask yourself just that or something else, please leave your question down below in the comments!
