New CS:GO League

 

A new CS:GO League has been announced. The league will be run by Turner Broadcasting and WME/IMG. It's total prize pool will be $1 200 000 (probably for 2 seasons). All matches will be held in the US at the base of Turner Studios. There will be two seasons held for 10 weeks.

 

The League will start in 2016. The best matches will be broadcasted on TBS channel. Each season will be divided into 3 parts: the games of regular season, playoff and championship. Apart from the broadcasting of matches, the organizers of the league promised to provide video content related to the team and the events of the league. The hosts of the league will demonstrate the offstage, take a series of interviews with the teams about the tournament. Furthermore, mini-films about each participating team will be shown. The organizers began shooting the films one month ago.


More details about the tournament will be announced in 2016. As per moment, the video presentation of E-League states that the following game will participate in the events of the League: Brazil Luminosity Gaming, Germany mousesportsUnited States CLG  and Australia Renegades. We will inform you if the Born to Win will participate in these tournaments.

 

 

Such project is a great step in eSports development in the US. The events of the League will be broadcasted on TV channel with over 96,5 million viewership (as of February 2015).
