Natus Vincere G2A [1:0] Vega Squadron - de_mirage

The first game of the series was off to a good start as we picked up the pistol round, and stormed through the following ones. Even the max loss bonus did not help Russian FederationVega too much, as it was the 6th round that saw them get their first point on board, the score being 5:1. That did little to set us back, because we rook the next round regardless, setting the opponent back further, denying them the chance to stabilize the money. Round 9, however, saw the opponent go on a 3-round streak, going as far as 7:4. UkraineNaVi claimed the round 12, winning the first half and working on making the advantage more considerable, finally closing out the half 10:5.

The second half saw teams trade rounds, and that lasted for a while, with neither team being able to establish a solid advantage. However, Russian FederationVega managed to nullify their disadvantage and made the score even - 14:14. We got the first matchpoint, but it got denied, and the match went into an overtime. The first overtime followed the suit of the second half - both teams were dead even, and nobody was willing to yield. Despite that, we got ourselves together and won several rounds in a row, winning the game in the second overtime - 25:22!

The second game was a lot different from the first one - we have won several rounds at the beginning, but then, Russian FederationVega managed to turn the tides of the battle to their advantage. We did not manage to score anything for a while, but despite the fact we lost the first half, the point gap was minimal - only 1 point was separating UkraineNatus Vincere from the Russian team, which, undoubtedly, gave us a lot of resolve.

The second half saw UkraineNaVi take the pistol round and the following ones, covering the gap and even establishing a secure lead for ourselves - 12:9, which is a good result after 7:8 of the first half. We were still playing our best game, and traded some rounds, which ultimately played out in our favor. Russian FederationVega tried to pull off a comeback on this map to make it into the decider match, but the economy reset made it nigh impossible. As a result, we won both maps and advance to the grand finals of the qualifiers!
