October's main transfers
A transfer window in CS:GO is limitless. Constant reshuffles of the teams are average. Their main goal is to improve the quality of a team's performance and progress. We've traced all the reshuffles of October. Learn how the main CS:GO teams have changed over the past month in our article.
Main transfers monthly is a series of articles, which provide a full record of the main reshuffles of CS:GO teams on a monthly basis. As concerns October, there have been now "loud" transfers of top players this month. However, a number of second tier players, aspiring to get to the top, underwent changes.
Joakim "jkaem" Myrbostad
The main transfer of late September — early October was the transfer of Joakim "jkaem" Myrbostad from Copenhagen Wolves (which eventually resulted in the disband of the team) to G2, from which Adil "ScreaM" Benrlitom, who had transferred to Titan. The acquisition of jkaem was very advantageous for the team, which had good chance to get to the final of DreamHack Cluj-Napoca. The new player not only managed to fit the team perfectly, but also won a title of the best player of the team at the last major of the year.
jkaem was one of the keys to success at DreamHack
The team is pretty similar to LGB-esports in 2014, which unexpectedly got to top 4 of the Major in Katowice. Five powerful individuals gathered together under the wing of a reliable organization. We'll see in future if the guys manage to strengthen their positions in top or leave the team for more titled clubs.
G2 current roster:
Mikail "Maikelele" Bill
Håvard "rain" Nygaard
Ricardo "fox" Pacheco
Dennis 'dennis' Edman
Joakim "jkaem" Myrbostad
Martin "STYKO" Styk and Tomáš "oskar" Šťastný
HellRaisers has undergone global changes over the past month. The team was shook by the leave of Mihail "Dosia" Stoliarov, but it was only the beginning. Along with Mihail, the Kazakh duet Dauren "AdreN" Kystaubaev and Rustem "mou" Telepov left the team.
The team's scout solved the problem quite successfully by inviting to the team the core players of Fraternitas — Tomáš "oskar" Šťastný and Martin "STYKO" Styk. On 5 October the managers of HellRaisers announced that they acquired the players on probation term. On the next day it became known, however, that the players had signed the agreements with the organization and become the full members of the team.
With oskar and STYKO, HellRaisers becomes a truly international team
Yet the situation with the fifth player is unstable. Alexander "s1mple" Kostylev had been acting as a stand-in, though he couldn't play on a regular basis due to contractual liabilities to Flipsid3 Tactics. As per moment a most powerful shooter Andreas "schneider" Lindberg acts as stand-in of the team.
Current roster of HellRaisers:
Kirill "ANGE1" Karasiov
Emil "kUcheR" Ahundov
Tomáš "oskar" Šťastný
Martin "STYKO" Styk
Andreas "schneider" Lindberg (stand-in)
Jesper "tenzki" Mikalski
Danish team dignitas was searching for the fifth player for the whole month. The team played for some time with Andreas "schneider" Lindberg. The results of the games being positive, the Swedish player was supposed to stay. However, it turned the other way. One week before DreamHack Cluj-Napoca, Andreas left Pimp and the team, explaining it with communication problem inside the team, language problems and personal tragedy.
The reaction of British organization was instant: the squad got back to mono-language scheme of cooperation, which was achieved by the acquisition of Jesper "tenzki" Mikalski, who transferred from SK Gaming.
tenzki couldn't help dignitas in group stage of DreamHack Cluj-Napoca
The next trial of the team is the finals of CEVO Professional Season 8 to be held on 6-8 November in Columbus, USA. By the way, Natus Vincere will also participate in it.
Current roster of dignitas:
Jesper "tenzki" Mikalski
Markus «Kjaerbye» Kjaerbye
Jacob «Pimp» Winneche
Mathias «MSL» Lauridsen
George "hudzG" Hoskins
British CS:GO-scene continues attempts to transfer to a more professional level. The idea of creating the most powerful team was supported by EZSkins, headed by a caster and analyst Henry "HenryG" Greer. Initially chosen squad existed for a short period of time. After the team's failure to pass DreamHack Open London it became obvious that a more experienced player is required for the team to succeed.
Josh "mole" Rowley had to leave the team and was replaced by George "hudzG" Hoskins. The appearance of the scene's veteran in the roster was welcomed by British CS:GO community. Many consider him to be the one, who is capable of bringing the team to a new level of performance.
Will the best British team manage to get to top?
Summing up, the processes in Great Britain are now a bit similar to those, which took place during the birth of CS squad of Natus Vincere. The British scene scene has a number of sold players, which should be brought together in one roster and inspired to achieve common goal.
Current roster of EZSkins.com:
Samuel "RattlesnK" Gawn
Reece "Puls3" Marrs
Brandon "weber" Weber
Luke "FearLess" Morris
George "hudzG" Hoskins
Peter "Stanislaw" Stanislaw
North American division was remarkable for a couple of transfers. дивизион тоже запомнился некоторыми трансферами. Ronnie "ryx" Bylicki left Conquest, which is considered to be top5 team in their region. He was replaced with Peter "Stanislaw" Stanislaw, former member of Tempo Storm and Coast.
Peter has undergone a sort path of stand-in player. He demonstrated great performance from the first games. The team began playing better, having achieved 4 victories in the row at ESL ESEA Pro League (including the match against Cloud9 16:6). The acquisition of Peter to by a strong team was logical. Since he had proven himself as a stable player with accurate shooting and understanding ingame situation.
The reinforcement of the team before CEVO finals
We'll be able to watch the game of Conquest at LAN finals of CEVO Professional Season 8.
Текущий состав Conquest:
Mohamed "mOE" Assad, Owen "wabbit" Farrelly and Andrew "Professor_Chaos" Heintz
Second tier team of American league 3sUP is still undergoing the reconstraction. In early October the status of 2 of its players was changed to stand-in. They were replaced with a well-known player and streamer Mohamed "mOE" Assad and Andrew "Professor_Chaos" Heintz. Professor not being widely known, used to play in rather powerful teams, such as eLevate и Nihilum.
Scandalous mOE didn't stay for a long time in 3sUP
For 3sUP these players is a precious acquisition. Apart from scandalous fame, Assad has huge experience of playing in LAN competitions and the encounter with the best teams. He was supposed to become a leader of the team both in tactics and shooting. However, hardly had the month passed, when mOE turned into a stand-in player and was replaced by Owen "wabbit" Farrelly, who was one of the leaders of FollowEsports.com, which was disbanding at the moment. Will the team will be able to reach stability of the squad and show great results? We'll see in future.
Current roster of 3sUP:
* * *
That's all for CS:GO transfers in October. Summing up, we'd like to point that the above-mentioned transfers didn't influence the balance of power in top-tier scene. G2, however, can be an exception, as it managed to achieve fair results in Cluj-Napoca. The situation in dignitas is hard to predict now, as it began with a fail at Major. Despite powerful players, the British scene is yet very weak in terms of teams. American scene has way too many unstable squads, though it is represented by very powerful line-ups, such as Luminocity, Cloud9 and CLG.
