Natus Vincere to boycott ESWC

imageNatus Vincere in the person of all its players and gaming squads may boycott image ESWC 2011. The decision was driven by new ESWC rules according to which each team or player can now book a slot in the Grand Final for $200 per player or $1000 per team.
Our organization does not encourage such decision and will not participate in the tournament unless new rule is forfeited. The boycott was also supported by some of the world leading e-Sports teams such as image fnatic, image SK Gaming, image mTw, image Evil Geniuses и image Mousesports.

Natus Vincere CEO image Alexander «ZeroGravity» Kokhanovskiy had the following to say:

«We were surprized with the idea to implement a registration fee instead of holding national qualifiers. The decision itself contradicts with the concept of World Championship because anyone can now "buy" himself a slot in the Grand Final. If tournament organizers stay idle to what professional e-Sports teams demand, you will not see ESWC 2010 champions defending their title this year».

"We were surprized with the idea to implement a registration fee instead of holding national qualifiers. "
well its not ESWC that host the national qualifier, its a local organisation that choose to pay eswc to be able to host the qualifier, so not all country have a big company / lan / organisation to pay for the fees to host a national qualifier and send the winners

"The decision itself contradicts with the concept of World Championship because anyone can now "buy" himself a slot in the Grand Final."
wrong its not anyone its applications

"These applications are reserved exclusively to player teams who do not have a national ESWC qualification system set up in their country." from eswc
its just for country who dont have a qualifier, and its not anyone its application
eswc will choose the team to represent the country, the team will pay 1000$ and their own travel fee
how is that a problem for navi? its not the fault of the teams that they dont have a qualifier, they wish they had a qualifier that way they wouldnt have to pay 1000$ and travels
