Terms for CS 1.6 Moviemakers:
 

 

Discipline: Counter-Strike 1.6
Duration: from 45 seconds to 3 minutes
Game moments: Na `Vi.CS team only


Create a movie up to 3 minutes. It can be either classic movie with frags and battles or movie about players' fails.
 

 

What will we evaluate in your videos:
  • Gaming moments choice;
  • Effects;
  • Dynamics;
  • Presence of extraordinary items;
  • Music synchronization;

Create an e-Sports related movie which proves your editing skills. As a matter of fact we are searching for a moviemaker who creates bright and dynamic movies. 
 
To understand our requirements more clearly, watch several examples: Example 1 and Example 2.
The main source for your movies is the official Na`Vi YouTube channel
 

Duration: from 1 min to 3 min.
 

What will we evaluate in your videos:

  • Atmosphere;
  • Effects;
  • Dynamics;
  • Strong emotions;
  • Music background;
  • Music synchronization;

 

General rules for all the categories:

 

 

- Load all your movies on your personal youtube account and send us a link at contest [at] navi-gaming.com
- Indicate a topic "Contest for CS moviemakers", "Contest for DOTA2 moviemakers" and "Contest for video editors". Write your full name and contact details.
- Send your original movies only.
- Movie size shouldn't exceed 300 MB
- Natus Vincere has a right to load the best movies (with author's copyright) on its official YouTube channel.
- There are no compensations for winners who refuse to participate in our project.
- You automatically agree with all the above rules, if you participate in the contest.


The best moviemakers in each category will be invited to work for Natus Vincere

Hi Michael: Low budget is a very reatilve term: Low-budget to Steven Spielberg is a couple million bucks; to me it's $100,000 or so. To you, probably a lot less! Post an update edit using the Additional Details link, and give us some real-world dollar figures, please. You'll get a much better Answer from the good Contributors on here. Low-light shooting is a good point you noted, and is an important detail. Your pseudo-documentary style horror film sounds a lot like the Blair Witch Project format, so that also gives us some insight as to what you want to shoot. By Special Effects you need to be more specific, also. Do you mean green screen (ChromaKey) effects? Or do you want realistic 3D monsters popping out of people's bodies? (There you'd need something like Maya and a good artist/animator to pull that off.) hope this helps, Dennis C.
