Na`Vi players on IEM GC Kiev groups
As we have promsed we asked our players what do they think about upcoming IEM Global Challenge Kiev tournament and its participants. As you remember, our team got a chance to participate in this very first Counter-Strike tournament in 2012 after beating Anexis (16:08) and Asian qualifier representative not being able to attend the event in Kiev. Our team got into Group with the likes of DTS, SK-Gaming and Lions and we decided to ask them what do they feel about their group:rn
What do you think about your group and opposing teams? Isn't it unique to have two Ukrainian and two Swedish teams in the same group?rn
Na`Vi.Edward: I think Group A is very hard. We have decent history with each team in our group. We lost two last matches to DTS but you should not ignore thier latest replacement of craft1k for hooch - it will be harder for them to outplay us. Lions is a very solid Swedish team which have been always performing up to the level. They defeated us during our last LAN so we will be well-prepared and motivated. Last but not the least is the grand team SK: last time we won the match and now they will do everything possible to revenge. I think it will be an epic match.
rnThere is one ousider in Group B and it is WinFakt. They have been gaining shape for the whole last year and once they seemingly got it, they made some replacements. They will need a lot of time to regain the shape they had. M5 is a great team capable of beating any top team, moreover they have been practicing in the CyberArena for a few days and that will mean their perfect aim.. Winning at DH fnaitc will want to continue their stampede and will aim for the first place in the group. mouz changed ninja for zonic and that can be dangerous. I don't know how they will perform during this LAN but they are capable to do a disasterous damage very soon. Cheers!
ceh9, what do you think about your opponents?rn
Na`Vi.ceh9: Yeah it resemples Battle of Poltava =). Well we have all the chances to perform well in the new year. We know our opponents and played a lot versus them. What I think isn't good is BO1 format: as you know everything can happen if you play just one map. Hopefully everything will be fine.rn
What do you think about current shape of the participants? Do you practice with attending teams?rn
Na`Vi.ceh9: All the teams are currently bootcamping because people say CS 1.6 will die this year. Teams want to prove themselves and leave something in CS history. I don't want to trust these rumors but we will do everything possible to get our own work done well.
