Na'Vi in StarLadder i-League Group Stage
After a mid-November break caused by the Frankfurt Major, the StarLadder i-League StarSeries is resuming its action. Our own Natus Vincere Dota 2 squad is taking part in competition, in the European qualifiers and will soon play their two deciding matches.
Five out of sixteen teams from Europe will qualify for the LAN finals in Minsk, and the format is as follows: all the contenders are split into groups of four; the winner advances to the next phase, while the runners up will play Relegation Matches to decide who will join the top finishers. Virtus.pro and Team Secret are already seeded straight into Stage 2. The second phase consists of two groups of four with the top 2 advancing to the LAN event and bottom 2 playing in a single elimination Last Chance Bracket for the 5th European spot.
Na’Vi has been seeded into group C in the first phase alongside OG, ScaryFaceZ and STARK. The Fall Major champions have already played all of their matches and are on top of the group with a 6-1 record. The only game OG lost was against Na’Vi which puts our roster in the best position out of the remaining three teams to contend for the 2nd place in the group and a chance at preceding to the next stage.
StarLadder i-League is a tournament in which StarLadder season XIII and i-League season 4 are combined into one huge event. The prizepool is $300,000 and the LAN finals will be held in Minsk. 12 teams will take part in the offline finals, which will include 10 qualified squads as well as 2 direct invites. The LAN finals will take place from the 13th to the 17th of January, 2016.
