Tournament details for 17/18 season

 
A couple of weeks ago, Valve presented the brand new concept of Dota 2 tournament system. United Kingdom Matthew "Cyborgmatt" Bailey shared a list, containing basic information about Major and Minor tournaments, planned for the upcoming gaming season. The quantity of seasons can be increased.
 
According to the published list, we'll see 22 tournaments in the upcoming 12 months: 11 Majors and 11 Minors. The following organizations will hold the tournaments with $ 1 000 000 prize pools: ESLDreamHackPGLBTSMarsTV and EPICENTER. The prize pools of minors will be $ 300 000 to $ 400 000. They'll be organized by StarLadderPGLPerfect World and other companies. Take a look at the schedule.

As a reminder the status of Major or Minor is granted if all the requirements are met: starting prize pool exceeds $ 150 000 (for Minor) or $ 500 000 (for Major), the qualifiers are held in 6 regions determined by Valve, the final is held in the LAN-format. The participants will be rewarded with qualifying scores for each tournaments. These scores will determine the invite to the main tournament of the year — The International 2018.
