First Minor announced
The very first $50,000 PGL Minor has been announced alongside all the information about the European qualifiers. The tournament will not only offer prize money and the title, but also a spot at the MLG Columbus 2016 LAN qualifier.
As we informed you a couple of days ago, the Minors have been announced by Valve. The series of tournaments will give a chance to those were not Legends or Challengers in the previous CS:GO Major Championship. The Minors are divided by regions; PGL, the European organiser, has already announced all the details regarding the qualifiers.
There will be four online qualifiers held on FACEIT’s platform, between the 4th and the 9th of January, with 512 spots in each tournament. The format will be a Single Elimination bracket with all the matches up until the quarter-finals being Best of 1 and Best of 3 from that point on. Two best teams from each qualifier will advance to the LAN finals.
The offline Finals for the first European Minor will be held from the 29th to the 31st of January 2016 in Bucharest, Romania. A total of 8 teams will battle for the $50,000 prize pool and a spot at the MLG Columbus offline qualifiers. More information about the qualifiers can be found here.
