Reddit news: September
The first month of the fall is over. The release of 6.85 patch was its most remarkable and important event for those Reddit users who are keen on Dota 2. We collected Reddit posts about the patch and other interesting topics in the new episode of Reddit news.
The changes introduced by the patch are still being studied. However, some key features have been spotted at once: no more players on Necrophos, who farm ancient creeps from AFK position; golems are no longer destroyed by Purge, etc. However, we'd like to mention one user, who predicted Aghanim`s Scepter for Batrider about 4 months ago. "THEY ALL LAUGHED AT ME," said the guy. Maybe game developers and IceFrog read the posts on Reddit. Offer your idea there and it might inspire the developers to introduce it in the new patch.
"Of course this happened in my first game of 6.85" - said one user. We can only pity him. We wonder what if he manages to win by accident.
The American Dota 2 scene has been thrilled with a scandal. However, it has indirect relation to our favourite game. A businessman Martin Shkreli, who "acquired life saving drugs then raised prices by as much as 5000%" turned out to be the owner of Team Leviathan. "Please patch the game so that Team Leviathan have to pay x56 for regen items" - says Reddit user. It's good when you have something to joke about, but it is bad, that the topic is so sad.
Dotabuff has introduced a new feature for the players who have decided to leave League of Legends and play Dota 2. The game newcomers can pick their 6 favourite LoL heroes and get a small list of Dota 2 heroes, which they will supposedly like. Furthermore the website provide a very good guide to all the features of Dota 2.
"I asked the Dotabuff support for a cancel of my subscription, I never expected an answer like that from them, huge thank you Dotabuff!" - wrote a user. It's so nice to see that such huge portal can understand a person in need and support him or her. Let's hope that others won't take advantage of it.
A manifestation of "...great love/hate relationship" between Valve and Blizzard was recently spotted.
Have you ever wonder what are they singing about? "After 4000 odd games of Dota, I just realized the respawn audio is an angelic voice singing "3,2,1" counting down the seconds til you're alive again". Follow the link below to read the other suggestions of the song words.
The success of (monkey) Business is very interesting. How has a mix managed to turn into such powerful battle unit over such short period of time? One of the team's players MoonMeander answered: "We are simply re-creating the environment in which Miracle excels: he + four 4k mmr". You can read the whole answer here: ask.fm. It's definitely worth it!
Though the custom games option has been provided, nobody wants to put Plants vs. Zombies in Dota 2. It is strange, since there're models and heroes, all they need to do is environment. The game would be popular
The problem of region closing has never been so dramatic! Benjamin wasn't expecting to get to a team of players from Latin American. Do you think it's high time to introduce the same system as in League of Legends? Or you're ok with it?
Crystal Maiden and Lina are the opposites, and yet they're united into one. Mesmerizing it is.
Fwosh is one of the most creative personalities in Dota 2 community, composing music, singing and drawing. Her interpretation of Dota 2 heroes is unique. Follow the link to see more of her works.
The ideas of the users are so surprising! This time it was suggested to change Chaos Knight and Jakiro. However, the offered updates haven't been introduced in the new patch. Maybe next time?
And the last, but not the least is gorgeous Queen of Pain, embodied on the Earth in Dota 2 fan girl.
