CS:GO Minors Announced

Come January, teams budding just under the surface of professional Counter-Strike will have their chance to shine. Valve has announced four tournaments in January called Regional Minors, which will allow players that were not Legends or Challengers in the previous CS:GO Major Championship to come and show what they’re capable of and gain valuable on-stage experience.
Regions and Hosts
  • CIS - StarLadder
  • Europe - PGL
  • Asia - ESL
  • Americas - MLG
To be eligible, each team must be mainly made up of players having the citizenship in a country in the region they represent. The tournaments will feature a $50,000 prize pool and will be organized with the same high qualitative standards as a real Major. Valve always opens more opportunities for new players, who might even have a chance to face the big names of the scene. In fact, the winners will also be allowed to compete in the offline qualifier for the first Major of the year: MLG Columbus 2016.
