Match review: Na`Vi versus Alliance on t

After we got defeated twice already on the Starladder VII, every game is important. Unfortunately, we lost the first game of the 22.09 versus Quantic, but a bit later that day, there was a match that many waited for – Na`Vi versus Alliance.

Na`Vi played with a full roster for the first time this day, but this time, Alliance called a substitute. Loda missed the match because he was sick, and was replaced by Black, from LGD.Int. I think, this match will be really good to begin reviewing Na`Vi.DotA 2 matches, for those who missed them.

The draft stage began completely normal, pretty much like two months ago, and after an expected pick of Io for Alliance, we saw Abaddon from Natus Vincere, that the team has never played him before on official matches. After that everyone picked typical heroes for them. But our team surprised everyone with the carry pick – Troll Warlord.

The lanes were a surprise too. Natus Vincere’s trilane with Abaddon, Troll Warlord and Enchantress, that have the perfect abilities and attributes to sit on a hard lane easily and keep the opponent busy. They went to the bot lane, where AdmiralBulldog expected to see Funn1k on Batrider. Dendi went mid with his strong here- Outworld Devourer against S4 on Magnus. Alliance’s trilane – Keeper of the Light, visage, and Alchemist, that has in their inventory only Tango and a Healing Salve, in order to buy a very fast Midas – went top and farmed the jungle.

By the way: Funn1k tried in the beginning of the game to get into the enemy jungle on Firefly and to block the spawns with Sentry Wards, but after he failed, he went to stack his jungle.

The first 6 minutes were completely calm. As expected, Dendi controlled the middle lane from the early beginning, and for every time when S4 tried to farm another creep, Dendi caged him. On the 1:40th minute, when Puppey and Ursa ganked mid, Magnus barely survived with 50 HP.

On the bottom lane, everything was great for Na`Vi: Enchantress quietly farmed the jungle, and Kuroky on Abbadon was helping XBOCT, that was farming without any problems. Everything became even better, when in a few minutes they killed the opponent’s Spirit Bear, giving Troll Warlord another 300 coins, later they took the tier 1 tower, and in the same minute we heard “First Blood”. Dendi with Puppey’s help killed S4. Funn1k kept farming the jungle with a goal to get an early Blink Dagger.

Black couldn’t meet all expectations from his easy lane. On 3:57 he received his Midas, and a bit later his got his Phase Boots. Although they lost the middle tower and AdmiralBulldog that didn’t have easy time, Alliance’s support easily got their levels in the jungle.

On the 7th minute, after another S4’s death on the mid lane, Batrider gets his Blink Dagger, and that became the beginning of the pressure from Natus Vincere. Another tower on the bottom lane for Na`Vi, death of two of Alliance’s supports, and later – third death of Magnus, make Alliance think that probably the only way to stop the graphs from keep going on Natus Vincere direction is a massive fight. This happens on the 11th minute in Dire’s jungle. Although the fight became with Alliance’s initiation, we easily reminded them the advantage we have, killing first Io, then Magnus. 7:0 Na`Vi leading, and are on their way to destroy the top towers.

First Alliance’s frag came only on the 12th minute, using Alchemist’s Shadow Blade to kill Dendi. The graphs didn’t change at all. 7:1 Na`Vi is leading, and 4:0 in towers. A minute later, XBOCT gets a solo Roshan, and 60 seconds after that, Funn1k kills AdmiralBulldog. After getting such a huge advantage, Na`Vi decide to get on the high ground.

On the 18th minute the score is 18:2. Alliance lose their top barracks, but they managed to kill Dendi. Both teams realize that the game is coming to an end, and a final setting on the middle lane high ground ends with a score of 26:2, another lost lane for Alliance and “gg” from them.
