New generation in CS:GO

Times change. Professional e-sports players leave the industry for some reasons, their names slowly fade from memory and young ambitious players take their place. In this article we will get to know some of the young and talented players, which have only recently appeared on the professional Counter-Strike: Global Offensive scene.

Egor "flamie" Vasilyev

Egor has been playing games since the age of 10. And when he was 12, he started playing for various Counter-Strike: Source teams. As time went by, he was getting his experience from such teams, as Russian Federation TEAM46, Russian Federation t44Russian Federation zNation, still finding time to study at school. Switching from Source to CS:GO marked the beginnning of a new stage in flamie's gaming career. He started on in Russian Federation USSRRussian Federation dAT Team and Russian FederationHellRaisers, showing great performance. As a result, Egor was invited to join Ukraine Natus Vincere to take the slot of Ukraine Sergey "starix" Ishchuk. Now Egor is the youngest player in our team, having turned 18 earlier this year.

Kenny "kennyS" Schrub

Kenny has also started his career from Counter-Strike Source. In 2012 together with France VeryGames he took a second place at DreamHack Valencia, and later on at DreamHack Winter as well. Switching to Global Offensive, Kenny began showing even more dynamic and neat performance. In 2013 his team was rocking: they came third at Esports Heaven Vienna, then first at Esports Heaven Birmingham and third again at ESEA Global Invite Season 13. Kenny then changed the team onto France LDLC, and it is in this squad when he became a champion of Fnatic Frag CS:GO League Season 2. After that kennyS played for France Clan-Mystik for a little while, but starting from the middle of 2014 he joined France Titan eSports. Their biggest achievement so far is probably first place at DreamHack Stockholm 2014. This victory helped Kenny secure the 6th spot on the top 20 players of 2014 list. He has turned 20 just recently.

Alexander "s1mple" Kostylev

Alexander had a chance to play for such eminent teams like Russian Federation dAT Team, Ukraine A-Gaming and Russian Federation HellRaisers. As for the last one, this invitation became a pleasant surprise for him. However, in the beginning of 2015 the team had to wave him goodbye. Now he is playing for Ukraine Flipsid3 Tactics. Despite the young age, Alexander is often showing confident performance on the battlefield. Some of the players, however, consider s1mple to be very quick-tempered. Maybe, his age is to blame, after all, he will only become 18 this year.

Andreas "Xyp9x" Højsleth

Andreas plays for Denmark Team SoloMid. Even though he is only 19, his e-sports expertise is unbelievable. Xyp9x started playing Global Offensive in 2012, and a year later got a chance to make a name for himself, when he got invited to Sweden Fnatic. However, in 6 months the organization decided to disband their Counter-Strike squad. After that Andreas floated from team to team, stopping in DenmarkTeam SoloMid, which is where he is still playing. His first actual team was probably Belgium Epsilon Gaming, Jesper's career was developing so quickly that he received an invitation to Sweden Fnatic after only 3 months of playing in his previous team.
