New season of StarLadder & i-League!
Yesterday the beginning of a new season of StarLadder league was announced. The League united with Chinese organization ImbaTV, and was named SL i-League StarSeries. The world's strongest Dota 2, СS:GO and Hearthstone eSportsment will fight over the total prize pool of $ 550 000.
The upcoming season will become a new product, the product of cooperation of 2 leagues: SLTV StarSeries and i-League. During the season, players will compete in regional divisions. The best of them will get to the grand final, which will be held on 13-17 January 2016. Unlike previous years, the platform of the event will be a new and unusual place of the CIS eSports - a huge stadium Minsk Arena, located in Minsk, Belarus. According to the organizers, this is the first event in the region, which will be held in the stadium, and the first event in the world, which compounds of Dota 2, СS:GO and Hearthstone competitions in the stadium.
Representatives of the CIS, Europe, America, China and Southeast Asia will be fighting in Dota 2 league. Twelve teams will be fighting in the final stage. The prize pool will be $ 300 000. Therefore more than a half of the total prize pool will be granted to the players of one of the most popular MOBA-games. As concerns Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, only 4 regions the CIS, Europe, America and China will be represented. Eight teams will fight over the slots in grand final with a prize pool of $ 200 000. The last discipline, Hearthstone, will be represented by 2 divisions. The first will comprise of the players of the CIS, Europe, America. The second one will comprise entirely of Chinese players. Eight players will fight over the prize pool of $ 50 000.
Furthermore, the organizers are planning to stream regional qualifiers and final part in many languages. The official streams will be held in Russian, English and Chinese. The community streams will be held in Danish, Bulgarian, German, French, Polish, Finnish, Indian, Portuguese, Romanian, Serbian and Hungarian languages.
As per moment Natus Vincere is a reigning champion of StarLadder StarSeries in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. This summer the Born to Win defeated Team EnVyUs 3:1 in a tense competition. Dota 2 division of Na`Vi holds record in the quantity of victories. Moreover, our Hearthstone players have achieved good results in the tournament lately. Therefore we can expect that all Natus Vincere divisions, which will participate in the event will perform very well in Minsk.
