Thorin's World Rankings: September

A British journalist, caster and world-known analyst  United Kingdom Duncan “Thorin” Shields presented a new edition of his world CS:GO rankings. Traditionally, each team has its place on the list, which is determined by their performance in the last three months. ESL ESEA Invitational Dubai and Gaming Paradise were the last two tournaments that influenced team positioning.

Sweden Fnatic remain the top-1 team of the world rankings. Despite the fact that they haven’t reached the grand-final in Dubai, they won three out of five last tournaments in which they have taken part. The Danish team Denmark TSM, in their turn, have scored deserved second place, moving one position up compared to the previous month result and replacing  Ukraine Natus Vincere. The Danes have managed to outplay Na`Vi in ESL ESEA Dubai group stage and eventually became the runners-up of the entire tournament.

The third place is occupied by  Poland VP, whose outstanding performance and unexpected victory at ESL ESEA Dubai proved how strong they are as a team. The Born to Win, in their turn, are now the fourth. Two months ago, they were positioned second thanks to the beautiful plays at DreamHack Summer, StarSeries, ESWC 2015 and FACEIT, but something always went wrong in their most recent matches. Our guys have managed to achieve only top-5 in one of the most important competitions of this year (ESL One Cologne). The silver medal at Gaming Paradise came next, but as Thorin explains, this tournament didn’t really influence his list. After quite unsuccessful performance at ESL ESEA Invitational Dubai,  Ukraine Natus Vincere dropped in rankings and scored fourth place. Duncan Shields paid particular attention to this event because of its high prize-pool, so the teams that couldn’t make it to the top-3, have lost their positions.
