The International to be held in Seattle again

The very first details of the most-anticipated tournament of the year, The International 2017, have been revealed in Valve's cosplay competition announcement. The competition itself will be held during the TI's Main Stage and feature $ 15,000 up for grabs, but the phrase that really caught the attention of Dota 2 fans was the one confirming the tournament's host city: despite rumours, TI7 will be held in Seattle.

Even before arrangements for the tournament were finalised, there had been uncertainty about it taking place in Seattle once again, as Valve seemed to weigh in the possibility of moving it not just to another city, but to another country altogether. As a reminder, the very first International was held at GamesCom 2011 in the German city of Cologne.

Will The International return to KeyArena?

The aforementioned announcement, however, has indirectly shown Valve's intention to stick with their usual choice, but so far no details were given as to the venue. The event will for sure take place in Seattle, but one can only speculate whether it will return to KeyArena.

Though the dates have not been revealed just yet, you can start planning your trip to the biggest Dota 2 tournament of the year beforehand using the Jetradar form below.
